Job Title Field Service Engineer I Location Austin, TX Duration 1 year with possible extensions Pay $27.00-$29.00 / HR Shift Possible night shift for Taylor, TX coverage Travel Occasional overnight travel to client’s factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required. Job Notes Must show a focus on quality, use of PPE, LOTO, will be in construction site, safety is priority. Must show proficiency in quality, be able to verify & meet specs to the ml. Must show stability in work history At least 2 years of exp in maintenance, repair & troubleshooting on tools and installs, in semiconductor industry Onsite at Samsung Austin, possibly at Taylor site FTE candidates at Samsung are not able to be badged for 1 year after they ended. Possible night shift for Taylor, TX coverage Associates degree preferred with experience No degree if 5+yrs of experience and HS diploma Responsibilities Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment Troubleshoots equipment problems Maintains records and reports as required Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions Orders and installs parts Responds to emergency service calls as required Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s) Required Qualifications Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred 0+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment Excellent customer interface skills is required Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional travel to factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time. PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap. Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
