Field Service Engineer 2yrs+ exp preferred AS Degree or higher preferred Responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining, and consulting on the replacement of drives, controls, and systems for clients. Responsibilities Service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on drives, controls, and systems in the field. Repair drives and controls in-house as needed. Provide technical expertise to customers regarding the application and integration of drives and controls. May supervise the work of outside contractors. Accurately document all work and service activities in writing. Stay current with safety and technical training requirements. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to apply mechanical and electrical engineering theories and practices to automate products and processes. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Travel about 90% of the time, with 10% in-house. Mostly day trips (about 95% of the time); a few times a year it might be overnight trips. Will be on call about 1 weekend a month (every 3-4 weeks). Physical Requirements Ability to drive for prolonged periods to various job sites and to work in industrial environments. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds as required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including summer and winter.
