As a Technician, you will:
- Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of generator issues, from simple maintenance to complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Perform Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal generator performance and longevity.
- Test and Analyze: Utilize load-bank testing and other diagnostic tools to assess generator functionality and identify potential problems.
- Provide Expertise: Share your knowledge and expertise with customers, clearly explaining issues and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate: Work effectively with fellow technicians, engineers, and other team members to deliver comprehensive power solutions.
Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and expenses.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing generators and related power systems.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown switches, and battery systems.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to generators and power systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to safety protocols and procedures, with the ability to safely operate heavy equipment and follow OSHA regulations.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel to various locations, work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive and self-directed approach to work, with a strong drive to deliver results and exceed customer expectations.
