Field Service Technician Apply
Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician for their client to join their dynamic team in the medical industry. In this full-time, direct position based in Rodeo, California, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support and service for medical equipment delivery and services.
As a Field Service Medical Technician, your work will extend beyond traditional technician duties. You will take part in empower individuals with disabilities to lead fuller, more independent lives through innovative power and manual wheelchair technologies. This role combines technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, allowing you to engage with a diverse range of clients and environments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Equipment Delivery: Deliver, set up, and ensure the proper fitting of manual and power wheelchairs, including measuring, fitting, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Client Support: Provide on-site support and maintenance, addressing technical issues related to medical equipment promptly and effectively.
- Installation: Install new medical equipment for clients in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Support Team and Assitive Technology Proffesionals to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including installations, repairs, and client communications.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of tools, parts, and supplies to ensure efficient service delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in Tools: Skilled in using tools and capable of assembling and disassembling equipment.
- Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Driving Ability: Capable of driving a box truck or van.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb in and out of a truck/van.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move durable medical equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. for a moderate period (25% – 50% of the day) unassisted.
- Frequent bending, twisting, grasping, squeezing, and occasional kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching above the shoulder are required to transport and set up medical equipment.
- Background Checks: Must pass background checks as required by Medicare and Medi-Cal.
- Drug Screening: Must pass periodic drug screenings.
- Manual Dexterity: Regular and continuous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are necessary for setting up durable medical equipment.
- Basic Tool Knowledge: Ability to utilize basic tools, such as wrenches and screwdrivers, for setting up and repairing durable medical equipment.
- Experience:
- 1 + years of Customer Service Expereince
- 1 + years of mechancial repair expereince/knowledge of wide array of mechanical tools
- 1+ year of driving expereince
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
