Opsource of Spartanburg has partnered with a Textile plant located in Spartanburg, SC. We are seeking a Field Service Technician to recloth/wind wire on textile machinery cylinders, doffers and miscellaneous rolls at customer locations.

Pay: $26.25/hr
Shift: All shifts

Job function:

Performs tear down/build back service on carding equipment. The candidate is expected to use knowledge of trade, people skills, customer orientation and professionalism in carrying out his or her responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
 *Reclothes rolls for Short Staple and Nonwoven customers at customer sites as well as in the shop.
 *Performs TDBB and winding on all cards including nonwoven, short staple and all cards.

*Must be available on the swing shift for any customer.
*Accurately reads gauges and dials on various machines.
*Completes required paperwork promptly and correctly, i.e. service reports, time sheets, DOT logs, etc.
*Observes and adheres to all safety regulations.
*Pays attention to quality of work.
*Loads and unloads items from the company vehicle (items may weight 100+ lbs.).
*Interacts with customers at customer place of business and obtains signatures on service reports as necessary.
*Interacts with shop personnel.
 *Maintains assigned winding equipment and other tools.

Additional Duties:
*Cross-trains and assists in other areas as directed by the Service Manager.
* Maintains assigned company vehicle and ensures it is in safe and good working order.
*Assignment of trucks is based on the needs of the company and the best usage of the fleet overall. When purchased, trucks will be assigned as needed.
*Complies with DOT and other safety regulations.
* Must report DOT physical and truck inspection as well registration on the truck driving one month ahead.
*May be assigned to be Site Leader by Service Manager (if assigned, employee will receive separate instructions).
*Reports any customer, accident/injury and/or safety issues to Service Manager immediately.
* Keep work area (at customer sites as well as shop) clean.
 *Must be ready for truck and tool box inspection at any time.

Requirements
*High School graduate or GED or equivalent training. Basic reading, writing and some advanced arithmetic skills
required.
*Must possess good manual/mechanical skills. Technical/mechanical background in card clothing preferred.
*Work experience in textile card rooms is a plus.
*Must pass DOT certification.
* Ability to use precision measuring tools.
*Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
* Valid driver’s license with good driving record with ability to drive a large-sized truck.
*Required to be on call and to work outside the normal business hours according to business situations, including working nights, weekends or holidays as necessary. Must respond to service calls when needed.
* Must be willing to do overnight travel.
*Must physically be able to stand for extended periods of time with some bending and stooping required.
*Must be able to pass certification for forklift operation.
*Must be able to lift 100+ lbs.
* Ability to travel via automobile, airplane or other means of transportation.
*Good time management skills.
*Ability to work in team environment.
 *Attendance at job-related training classes in the U.S. as requested or agreed upon by management
