(Time in Transit goes towards hours in a week. For example: When you leave your house to go to the airport.)We have a client in Norcross GA that has an immediate need for a Field Service Engineer, with a background working on Industrial Equipment and working with Beckhoff Automation technology. You will be responsible for: 50% Travel to client sites, including North and Central America - When you are not traveling, you will be in the office in Norcross, GA.Installation, start-up, commissioning, wiring, machine set up and test of machinery purchased by customersWorking with Beckhoff software to update, modify and edit existing PLC's.Technical assistance during and after warranty period on site or by phone / computerTraining customer’s employees and other services on the equipment delivered to the customer. ·Customer demonstrations and sample / prototype part manufacturing.Job Requirements: Experience in the repair of industrial machinery and a superior working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC and PC control repair.Experience working with Beckhoff2 yr. degree or 4 yrs. military experience in mechanical/electrical field3 or more yrs. industrial machinery troubleshooting experience and field service experienceTravel in the range of 50% after training - Frequent weekday overnight travel is required, with most weekends at home.Fluency in English is mandatory; conversational Spanish would be an asset.Other Qualities:Strong safety recordCustomer service-oriented personality ·Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independentlyYou must possess excellent communication and PC skills, a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and be able to pass a drug test.Other Benefits:$60/day - Per Diem$300/month - Tool AllowanceCompany LaptopChoice of using a Corp.
