The Opportunity


We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Operations Lead to lead our team under the guidance of the Supervisor of Field Services.

As the Field Operations Lead, you will oversee programs and provide leadership for event, enforcement, and capital projects support activities. You will play a key role in planning and providing on-site support for staff and community members with regard to parking during special events and capital projects, ensuring that our transportation services are efficient, effective, and responsive to the needs of our diverse campus community.


You will lead field Transportation Service Representatives activities including scheduling, training, and analysis of enforcement activity and productivity. You will also ensure utilization data collection is performed at assigned times or as needed to accurately make data-driven decisions. With the support of supervisor, this position includes drafting policies and procedures to lead parking needs for capital projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Event Transportation and parking Leadership: You will assist in the management of the transportation and parking needs for all campus events, including Commencement, Alumni Reunions, Fall Opening, and other major gatherings. This involves coordinating with various university departments, managing staff assignments, and ensuring the successful execution of transportation plans.
  • Transportation Service Representatives (TSR) Leadership: Lead and manage our team of TSRs, overseeing their scheduling, training, and activities. You will analyze enforcement activity and productivity, ensuring data-driven decisions are made to improve services.
  • Capital Project Parking Support: Collaborate with your supervisor to develop policies and procedures for managing parking needs for capital projects. You will guide the implementation of these plans and monitor their effectiveness, ensuring project-related vehicles comply with our policies and are meeting the business needs of the university.

What We Need

  • An associate degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • 2 or more years' experience in a customer service, or parking management.
  • 2 or more years' experience of previous leadership/supervisory experience to effectively motivate and oversee functional programs and teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide accurate transportation information to be a resource for the campus community and visitors.
  • Proven success in working collaboratively with other leaders to effectively implement and oversee programs.
  • Must have some Excel knowledge/experience.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
