Running Horse, LLC is an oilfield logistics company specializing in trucking water and sand. Based in New Town, ND, our fleet includes over 50 trucks and 70+ trailers. Since 2011, we have built a reputation for delivering top-quality service to our customers. We are seeking a highly qualified Field Supervisor to oversee daily field operations, enforce safety standards, and help maintain our high performance standards. Experience and familiarity with the Bakken shale area is strongly preferred. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for training and managing drivers, ensuring safe and efficient workflow, and supporting a proactive, safety-focused, team-oriented culture. Oilfield experience is mandatory. This role works closely with the Owners, Field Managers, and key staff to drive operational success, lead safety initiatives, maintain customer relationships, and contribute to overall company performance. Running Horse, LLC provides a rotating schedule of 20 days on and 10 days off, required to reside in company housing at our truck yard located in New Town, ND. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Enforce safe work practices, DOT regulations, and company safety policies across field trucking operations Stop work immediately when conditions are unsafe and lead incident response, investigation, and reporting Ensure all field employees have completed required safety training (PEC, H2S) Conduct New Employee Orientation and ongoing safety training for all drivers and field personnel Supervise and support truck drivers and field personnel in daily tasks, including load assignments and performance monitoring Assist with load assignments, monitor employee performance, and ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements Train, coach, and evaluate employees on job duties, defensive driving, and safety procedures Coordinate trucking and equipment resources for fluid hauling and oilfield transportation Oversee proper loading, securement, transport, and unloading of materials, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements Conduct routine field and yard inspections to identify hazards and verify equipment inspections are completed Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing service concerns and clarifying job scopes Assist with new business development and support long-term customer satisfaction Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and implement best practices Prepare and submit operational and safety documentation, including incident reports and daily activity summaries Maintain and communicate personal 20-on/10-off rotation schedule to ensure coverage Provide backup dispatch support when needed Perform additional supervisory and operational duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of oilfield experience (trucking or related field) Familiarity with Bakken shale operations strongly preferred CDL Class A license preferred but not mandatory Strong verbal and written communication skills required Experience with computers, including Apple products, Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail, and related software Proven leadership ability with experience motivating and managing employees Excellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to coach, train, and mentor employees Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Willingness to learn and adapt Able to pass a background check Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
