At McLane Intelligent Solutions, we are searching for a dynamic Field Support Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about technology and driven to provide exceptional service to our valued clients. As a Field Support Engineer, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with installations, and ensure optimal performance of systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for clients on-site.
  • Assist clients with installations and configurations of IT equipment.
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on software and hardware usage.
  • Maintain documentation of service requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their technology needs.
  • Stay knowledgeable about industry trends and advancements in technology.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Products, including Windows Desktop, Server, and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and network configuration.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Understanding of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with MAC iOS is a plus.
