Job Description

Company Description

Mantacus is building the next generation of campus security — protecting people and places in open spaces at scale. We've validated the technology with the US DoD and NATO, and we're now deploying across commercial, campus, and government environments. We're looking for a technical builder to own how our systems connect to the world.

What success looks like

In the first three to five months, you'll personally own a university deployment — integrating our security layer across campus infrastructure, standing up secure network access, and delivering a structured testing report that directly informs product development. Within nine months, you'll have turned that experience into a repeatable integration playbook and be building out the small field engineering team that runs it.

This is a founding-team-adjacent role. You'll sit at the intersection of our radar engineering team, client IT and security counterparts, and company leadership — with real influence over the integration function you're building.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, and configure end-to-end client site integrations — network architecture, VPN and firewall setup, camera and sensor integration, and handover documentation
  • Lead university testing programmes: design protocols, execute on-site, document results, and feed structured technical feedback to engineering
  • Architect and implement secure network access within client environments, working with client IT and security teams to meet compliance requirements
  • Stand up tooling for asset management and network documentation — recommending platforms right for our stage
  • Build and maintain the integration playbook that makes deployments repeatable and transferable
  • Troubleshoot across the full stack — network, hardware, firmware, and software
  • Represent Mantacus in technical discussions with client CISOs, IT directors, and security teams
  • Contribute to SOC 2 readiness, HECVAT compliance, and client-specific security frameworks
  • Grow into leading a small field engineering team as we scale

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in systems integration, field engineering, or network engineering — with enterprise-scale sensor, camera, or IoT deployment experience
  • Networking depth or equivalent — you architect secure deployments, not just configure devices
  • Experience integrating sensors, cameras, or radar systems into enterprise networks
  • Familiarity with IPAM and network documentation tooling
  • Comfortable working with sophisticated client IT and security stakeholders
  • Hands-on temperament — equally at ease on a ladder, in a CLI, and in a client briefing
  • Strong documentation discipline; able to turn one-off deployments into repeatable processes
  • Clear, precise communicator — written and verbal

Nice to have: Enterprise integrator background · VMS experience · SOC 2 environment · 5G/cellular backhaul or edge compute · DOOH networking
