Field Technician Apply
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.
We are seeking multiple Field Technician I and Field Technician II for our AMI group located in NY. Duties for these variable seasonal positions include installations and removals of electric meters, single phase 240 V or less. Additional duties may include inventory and Connex Box management.
Salary Range:
- Field Tech I: $25/hour
- Field Tech II: $28/hour
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Responsibilities (Field Tech I & II):
- Test voltage with a voltmeter.
- Use of an Ipad to document the meter installation/exchange.
- Ensure the safe operation of the company vehicle, equipment, and tools during the job. Includes maintaining a clean vehicle.
- Loading and unloading supplies for daily activities.
- Completing tasks within time frames set by the Field Supervisor and Project Manager.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work over the shoulders and with various obstructions to the meter and in basements.
- Submit weekly timesheets on time.
- Interact with courtesy and professionalism with client customers.
- Other duties as assigned by the field supervisor.
Requirements
Field Tech I:
- Some mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
- Valid NYS driver license.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to kneel and work over the shoulders.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
- Electrical experience a PLUS.
Field Tech II:
- Some mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
- Being able to pass gas qualifying test.
- Participate in D&A program.
- Valid NYS driver license.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to kneel and work over the shoulders.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
- Electrical experience a PLUS.
- Distribution Gas experience a PLUS.
