JOB TITLE: Field Technician

REPORTS TO: Regional Field Services Manager

STATUS: Temporary (6 months duration), Full time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Rodeo, CA

SALARY RANGE: $28,00-$32,00/ hour based on interview outcome and qualifications

BENEFITS: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, optional FSA/HSA, 401k with 6% employer match, life and AD&D insurance, Employee Assistance Program, short & long term disability, tuition reimbursement, 21.67 days of paid time off + 10 holidays

Job Summary:

The Field Technician is a key member of the Field Operations team responsible for supporting water treatment and environmental remediation projects across diverse geographic regions. This role primarily involves operating, maintaining, and supporting the installation of water treatment systems related to stormwater, groundwater, construction runoff, and other environmental services. The Field Technician works independently in the field while also collaborating with Lead and Senior Lead Technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, adaptability, and a positive attitude to support evolving project and client needs. Frequent travel throughout California is required.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate and maintain water treatment systems in the field.
  • Support system installations, mobilizations, and demobilizations.
  • Prepare and ensure equipment readiness for installation.
  • Maintain accurate field logs and required project documentation.
  • Provide shop and yard support, including cleaning, organizing, QA/QC checks, equipment preparation, and material handling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand and power tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and contractors
  • Prior experience in water treatment, construction, landscaping, or related field
  • Ability to tow a trailer or willingness to obtain proficiency within three (3) months
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Foundational knowledge of water treatment systems
  • Experience operating construction equipment or machinery
  • Experience supporting environmental remediation or field-based service operations
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and basic fabrication tasks

Licensing & Special Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license required
  • Ability to tow a trailer or obtain competency within three (3) months
  • Incumbent is subject to a criminal background check.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Work is performed primarily on construction sites located in the northern California region and at times you will be needed to support our efforts in the southern California market as well. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on site. Must be able to work in all adverse weather conditions, including long days, weekends, holidays and night shift if needed. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. This position will be expected to travel, mostly within the immediate region, up to 30%
