Finance & Tax Analyst (Staff Accountant)

Lauber Business Partners is recruiting a Finance & Tax Analyst in this direct hire role with our client, a full-service wealth management firm located in Waukesha County. This dynamic role will work within a variety of accounting disciplines and tax concepts, completing both individual and team projects of varying complexity.

Duties:

  1. Perform statistical and account analyses, including data listings, forecasting, and percentage calculations
  2. Prepare and coordinate materials for client meetings with guidance from senior team members
  3. Handle tax-related tasks: prepare federal and state individual and corporate returns, extensions, estimates, and projections
  4. Set up tax files, document workpapers, and prepare financial statements and cash flow projections for individuals
  5. Review investment-related schedules and reports, conduct research, and draft client correspondence on tax and accounting matters
  6. Assist with client billing and mentor junior employees & interns


Abilities:

This role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Strong reading, writing and presentation skills are required.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in public accounting or taxation.


Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

Candidates should be qualified to sit for the CPA exam or have an active CPA license.
