The Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance to support informed decision-making and drive business performance. This role partners closely with operational leaders to align financial goals with business strategy, improve profitability, and optimize resource allocation.This role requires candidates to be located within a commutable distance to our Mooresville, NC office. Compensation for this role is based on experience.Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:Strategic PartnershipAct as a trusted financial advisor to department leaders and senior managementTranslate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisionsCollaborate with business leaders to evaluate initiatives, investments, and growth opportunitiesFinancial Planning & AnalysisLead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned business unitsAnalyze financial performance against budget and forecast; identify risks and opportunitiesDevelop financial models, business cases, and scenario analysesPerformance ManagementMonitor KPIs and financial metrics to assess business performanceProvide variance analysis and explain trends, drivers, and outcomesSupport cost management initiatives and margin improvement effortsReporting & InsightsPrepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and executive summariesEnsure timely, accurate, and relevant financial information for stakeholdersPartner with accounting teams to ensure alignment between operational results and financial reportingProcess Improvement & ControlsIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and decision supportSupport financial governance, internal controls, and compliance requirementsAssist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as neededQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA/CMA a plus)5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or a business partnering roleExperience supporting operational or commercial teams strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skillsAbility to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholdersProven ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across the organizationAdvanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and BI tools preferredHigh attention to detail with strong business acumenSuccess FactorsProactive, solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on analysisStrong organizational and time-management skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWork Environment & BenefitsCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and leadership development
