Summary

The Finance Manager’s job is to secure each sale and ensure that every vehicle sold is delivered. The manager also protects the gross by arranging financing so outside finance sources do not have an impact on the selling gross and helps to cultivate a team philosophy in the dealership that will ensure both production and profits are maximized. This position secures financing and establishes ender relations: The finance manager secures acceptable financing for customers requesting it through one of the dealership's lending sources increasing the opportunity for additional dealership income. The dealership controls the financing and it allows for the opportunity to sell credit insurance products and increases the likelihood that a service contract will be purchased.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate gross profits by offering products such as service agreements, gap, maintenance, etc.
  • Verify that the deal is correct; verifying the miles, make, year, rate and titling
  • Verify payoff liens with correct signatures
  • Print all necessary documents needed to assure payment by financial institutions
  • Accept down payments
  • Upon forms are signed, provide customer with copy of documents, package bank copies, print re-cap and turn into Finance Director
  • Secure the transaction as a priority by protecting the compliant sale of the vehicle
  • Conduct due diligence to verify identity
  • Verify auto insurance is in date, not expired and provides sufficient minimum coverage as appropriate
  • Follow-up with lending institutions to ensure efficient funding of transactions

The dealership controls the financing, and it allows for the opportunity to sell backend finance products consistently and successfully to generate profit

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Subaru Finance experience
  • 2 years of finance experience
  • 5 years automotive dealership experience
  • Bachelors in Business or Finance
  • No criminal history

This position may supervise or direct instruction/training to Finance Administrator position

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting and is conducted seated at a desk. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand and climb ladders as necessary. Walking and communication with others is routine.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Evening, Holiday and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position may require up to 15% travel

Valid driver's license is required, and all applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
