Job Description

Finance Manager — Premier PHVAC Manufacturers’ Representative (Mid-Atlantic Region)

Location: Philadelphia Suburbs (On-site)

Industry: Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (PHVAC)

Our client is the leading manufacturers’ representative in the Mid-Atlantic PHVAC market — a fast-growing, deeply respected organization that brings unmatched value to distributors, contractors, and partners across the region. They’ve built a reputation not only on the strength of their product portfolio but on their commitment to service, technical expertise, and hands-on professional development through their in-house training division.

With continued expansion and an increasing demand for their one-source product model, the company is now adding a strategic, forward-thinking Finance Manager to help guide the organization through its next phase of growth.

About the Role

This is a high-visibility opportunity for a finance leader who thrives at the intersection of analysis, operations, and strategy. You’ll own the day-to-day financial operations while also shaping the long-term direction of the business. Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll influence planning, performance, and profitability — and help ensure the company continues to scale efficiently and intelligently.

If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, partnering across departments, and driving meaningful business decisions, this role offers both the challenge and the runway you’re looking for.

What You’ll Do

-Drive Planning & Insight

-Build and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support growth and guide strategic decision-making.

-Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting that tells the story behind the numbers — with clarity, accuracy, and actionable insights.

-Lead Core Financial Operations

-Oversee accounting functions including the general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and monthly closes.

-Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company policies.

-Protect the Financial Health of the Business

-Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost structures to support smart investment and sustainable growth.

-Identify financial risks and opportunities and proactively recommend solutions.

-Partner, Influence, and Elevate

-Work closely with department heads to drive margin improvement, pricing strategies, and profitability initiatives.

-Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership — someone who can translate financial data into business decisions.

-Develop People & Strengthen the Organization

-Mentor team members and help build financial literacy across the company.

-Oversee key finance-related HR functions including PTO tracking, benefit cost analysis, and onboarding support.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s, CPA, or CFA preferred but not required).

-5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years leading people or projects.

-Strong grasp of financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and operational accounting.

-High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

-Excellent communication skills and the confidence to collaborate across the organization.

-A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

-Competitive compensation with performance-based upside.

-Comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and PTO.

-A culture built on collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.

-A growing company where your work has a direct impact, your voice is heard, and your contributions are visible.

-Real career advancement as the organization continues to scale its footprint and capabilities.
