They’ve taken their solution through in house R&D, engineering, and have now taken their product to market with serious success. Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by the company to source and experienced Finance Manager, a permanent position that can be operated on either a four or five day working week to suit both sides. The role will be based onsite between St. Ives and Hayle. This will be a key role within the business and one that will work very closely with a highly experienced CEO (and acting CFO), as well as the wider senior management team. The role will initially take the form of a standalone position where the successful candidate will take full control of accounting controls but also design and develop procedures for maximum efficiency. We’re seeking a candidate with strong all-round accounting experience, ideally within an SME/OMB environment, and with strong management reporting and statutory accounting exposure. Key focus of the role: - Production of monthly management accounts - Statutory and financial reporting as required (VAT, Corporation Tax computations etc.) - Payroll for a small team - Accounts payable - Accounts receivable - Reconciliations, banking and petty cash control - Project costing and budgeting - Stock control and management We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager who has previously assumed overall operational responsibility for the day-to-day financial responsibility of a fast paced business. Applicants may either QBE, AAT or part/fully professionally qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA. The business promotes a modern working environment making the most of current technology; this role would suit a candidate with strong IT aptitude and excellent skills in the use of MS Excel and digital accounting tools (ideally with a working knowledge of Xero).
