Overview
This position will participate as a key team member in a wide variety of improvement projects and analysis with the goal of increasing operational efficiencies and internal controls. Tasks include analyzing financial data, documenting and improving processes, and extracting, organizing and analyzing data from various databases. The role also includes accounting duties such as reconciliations, asset verifications, assisting departments with journal entries, and supporting annual audits and rate proposals. The position serves as a primary contact for financial security in SAP and supports year-end audits and rate proposals.
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting: prepare routine and special analytical studies and reports; extract data from SAP, PeopleSoft, data warehouses, or other sources using Excel and data extraction tools; monitor and analyze budget and expenditure data, including variance analyses, reconciliations and projections; assist with presentation and analysis of department financial operations.
Financial Operations, Review & Support: assist the Controller and Senior Management in audits, prepare presentations, develop and document policies and procedures, perform account reconciliations and asset verifications, and work with Department managers on data collection, process reviews, problem solving, and education; grant SAP financial security for financial areas.
Service Center – F&A Rate: assist in reviewing budget and questionnaires for compliance; support F&A rate proposal processes.
Other Duties: perform miscellaneous accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible accounting experience.
Required Experience: 3-5 years of related financial accounting, analysis, or reporting experience.
