The Financial Analyst at Hogan Roofing plays a critical role in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the business. This position supports the Leadership Team through detailed job costing, budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, and accounting support in a construction/roofing environment. The Financial Analyst ensures financials are delivered timely and accurately, supports accrual accounting and month-end close, maintains cost controls, and provides insights that guide profit optimization. This role partners closely with Operations, Estimating, and Sales to maintain strong financial discipline and inform business planning. |

OBJECTIVES
- Deliver accurate monthly job costing within 3 business days of month-end, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Support month-end close by preparing accrual entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis by the 10th calendar day each month.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in accrual accounting entries, including WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and cost allocations.
- Build and update the annual budget and monthly rolling forecast with leadership, incorporating operational inputs and market trends.
- Create a standardized job profitability report that provides visibility into margins, overruns, and cost drivers.
- Identify at least three cost-reduction or efficiency opportunities per quarter with meaningful financial impact.
- Provide daily/weekly dashboards for project performance, cash flow, AR/AP aging, and backlog analysis.
- Improve financial data integrity by auditing vendor invoices, PO processes, and expense coding for accuracy.
- Support pricing strategy by analyzing historical job performance, vendor costs, and competitive benchmarks.
- Enhance forecasting accuracy by maintaining updated pipeline, backlog, and production schedules.
- Strengthen collaboration with operations and estimating through regular job reviews and budget-to-actual analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP, including proper documentation, segregation of duties, and audit readiness.
