Job Description
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of monthly reports, variance analyses, reconciliations, special projects, and other tasks as assigned. This position requires solid understanding of related business concepts and their applications, ability to review and analyze information, and develop an understanding of the business and the financial reporting for the business. Projects involve implementation of processes to support changing business needs and internal control compliance.
Detailed duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and accurate month-end reporting
- Responsible for updating and manipulating multiple databases
- Prepare monthly variance and trend analysis reports
- Provide financial support to the business through teamwork with analysts to provide meaningful information and reporting of the business
- Identify, communicate, and recommend solutions for reporting issues and problems
- Generate monthly financial reports and report variance summary to Management
- Support the monthly forecast process, work with cross-functional departments in compiling relevant data and provide comprehensive analysis
- Support management with financial modeling and analysis of critical information for decision making
- Measure performance of special projects for profitability and cost efficiency
- Ensure that financial reports accurately reflect all related activity and ensure that all deadlines are achieved related to period end close
- Ability to deliver under pressure for deadlines
- Ad hoc reports as needed
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- On-Site position
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
- Organization, attention to detail and the ability to analyze data
- Basic understanding on Accounting Principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; with responsive feedback at all times
- Strong PC skills. Advanced Excel required (formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, external linking, etc.).
- Ability to make decisions, appear for work on time, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism
- Language Requirements: Must be able to read, speak and write in English
- At least 3 years' experience in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP systems, Essbase and Oracle products preferred but not required
