We are seeking to hire a Financial Controller with 5+ years of Business Tax experience for our client in Evansville, IN!

This is a direct hire opportunity!

Hybrid Role - Must be onsite in office 3 days/week

The Position :

The Financial Accounting/Cost and Profitability Analysis is responsible to fulfill external and internal reporting requirements for dedicated group companies in line with the accounting standards (local GAAP-Focus) as well as for the cost and profitability analysis including sideline business invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

? Independent preparation of group reporting in line with the International Financial Reporting

Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines (Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, explanatory notes and technical delivery of dataset) on a monthly, quarterly and yearly or project basis for national and international legal entities

? Independent preparation of financial statements - (Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, explanatory notes)

? Support preparation of tax accounts

? Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation and reporting requirement

? Contact person for group functions, business units and external auditors

Costs and Profitability Analysis:

? Responsibility for the Costs and Profitability Analysis

? Responsibility for the Sideline Business Invoicing

Projects:

? Conduction of projects (e.g. M&A, restructuring, system migration, accounting projects)

? Development of accounting processes and techniques (organizational and ERP-System)

Potential Challenges

? Ensure compliance of financial statements according to US tax regulations and internal cost centers accounting

? Balancing stakeholder's (BU, Auditors, etc.) requirements with expert know how, experience and system knowledge (LXP, SEM)

? Deep knowledge of cross module process interrelationships with impact on group reporting is a prerequisite to ensure the achievement of global guidelines (e.g. management reporting)

? Structuring and conduction of cross functional projects

? The position offers and requires the freedom to think, independent judgement and decisions to a certain degree

? Experience in ensuring legal and statutory financial reporting compliance in the US

? Experience in working in SAP ERP and reporting tool environment

The Ideal:

? At least 3-5 years of experience on a corporate accounting or financial management role or auditing firm

? Experience in management and execution of Treasury topics.

? Experience in management of internal and external service providers.

? Master degree or comparable in accounting & financial management preferred.

? Experience of legal & statutory compliance, financial reporting and experience of US tax compliance.

? Experience in Change Management: create the US Finance Organization of the JV with employees from both JV partners, simplify the US legal entity structure and support the harmonization of IT landscape.

? Experience in multinational company an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $118,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
