Job Description: Financial Controller

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our company's accounting operations and financial reporting. As a key member of our finance team, the Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance and variance analysis.
  3. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost management, and financial modeling.
  4. Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  5. Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
  6. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital and financial resources.
  7. Audit Coordination: Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
  8. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
  9. Financial Systems: Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  10. Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
