JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, an international market leading manufacturing company, for a hands-on Financial Controller in Oldham area (with hybrid working).



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Manage and take responsibility for monthly, annual and audited financial statements for the UK operations including reconciling/eliminating related party transactions, balance sheet reserves/estimates, etc.

Manage and take responsibility for the monthly/annual VAT filings.

Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and Companys internal controls procedures and practices.

Establish and implement short and long-term departmental goals and objectives.

Manage the Accounting Department and ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined as well as providing on-going feedback to direct reports.

Other duties as required.



IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Degree in Accounting and/or ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or part-qualified.

Minimum of 5 years experience of being a Finance Manager / Accounting Manager / Financial Controller (or similar role), ideally in manufacturing with multiple related party entities.

Ability to work well under deadline pressure and handle multiple projects concurrently.

Proven ability to drive improvements and/or processes.

Ability to communicate complex/analysis to non-financial personnel.

ERP systems required, ERP implementation a plus.



WORKING CONDITIONS:

Standard office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm)

Must be able to have a flexible work schedule when workflow requires

Hybrid work environment (approx. 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week remote)
