Buttonsmith is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance team based in Redmond, WA. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Manage cash flow and treasury functions, optimizing cash position and liquidity management
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering their development and supporting their success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Proven experience in financial management and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls
  • Advanced knowledge of financial management software and Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
