Responsibilities The Financial Crimes Assistant Manager - Investigation leads the credit union’s efforts in investigating and resolving complex fraud and financial crime cases, with a primary focus on in‑depth case development, evidence collection, and coordination with law enforcement. This role manages a team of investigators responsible for investigating fraudulent activity across all channels, analyzing financial patterns, interviewing victims and suspects, and preparing detailed case files to support prosecution and recovery efforts. The position works closely with local, state, and federal agencies, providing investigative support for criminal cases involving identity theft, elder financial abuse, internal fraud, and other financial crimes. In addition to case oversight, the role is responsible for identifying emerging threats, monitoring fraud trends, and implementing best practices. The role plays a key part in incident response and recovery, ensuring the investigative team acts swiftly and effectively during active fraud events. Performs root cause analysis on fraud events. This position also contributes to the development of detective controls, recommends process improvements to reduce fraud exposure, and ensures strict confidentiality and compliance throughout the investigative process. This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location.
