Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Governance Manager to oversee and enhance our financial governance framework. This role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, implementing best practices, and safeguarding the organization's financial integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, auditing, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial governance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular financial audits and assessments to identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and address findings.
  • Analyze financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with financial governance standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance teams on governance-related issues and changes in regulations.
  • Monitor and assess financial controls, ensuring they are effective and operational.
  • Develop and maintain financial risk management strategies to protect the organization from potential financial losses.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board of directors on financial governance matters and compliance status.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial governance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, auditing, or financial governance.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
