This position serves as a strategic financial business partner to Genie’s Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Distribution organizations. The position drives business results and is responsible for managerial accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting. Position will engage with all levels of the organization and liaison with corporate financial staff and external auditors as required. Responsibilities Perform accounting / finance functions for multiple facilities Partner with operations team to deliver or exceed annual operating budgets and drive YOY efficiency improvements Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded, valuations performed, and results accurately reported Lead annual budget and monthly forecast development and accountability Ensure strong link between monthly financial performance and shop floor activity Lead completion of month-end financial close process in an accurate and timely manner Development and maintenance of standard costs for purchased and manufactured products, together with reporting and analysis of related variances Complete make versus buy analyses and evaluate international trade policy and tariffs Oversee development of and publishing of Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis; advise leadership teams concerning course correcting actions Perform financial modeling for proposed investments Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls with corporate financial management.
