Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven accounting & finance leader to play a key role in guiding the organization’s financial performance and long-term growth. This position partners closely with executive leadership to support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and scenario modeling, while providing actionable insights on growth initiatives, capital investments, acquisitions, and cost optimization strategies. The role is responsible for monitoring financial and operational KPIs, delivering clear and concise executive-level reporting, analyzing results and identifying performance improvement opportunities. Additionally, this leader will drive enhancements in financial systems and processes, including forecasting accuracy, reporting automation, ERP optimization, and billing and accounts receivable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strong Strategic Financial Leadership
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting cycles
- Provide strategic insights and scenario modeling to support business decisions
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate growth initiatives, capital investments (including acquisition targets), and cost optimization strategies
- Maintain and analyze bank covenant calculations and deliver monthly bank reporting
- Performance Management & Analysis
- Establish and Monitor KPIs across the finance and accounting function
- Assist with monitoring operational KPIs
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, human resources, and executive leadership to support business initiatives
- Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting to executive leadership
- Analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, and cash flow trends
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Maintain and Improve Financial Systems
- Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting automation
- Partner with IT and accounting teams to enhance billing and accounts receivable processes
- Drive ERP system optimization and accounting system enhancements
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team, and other departments
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise within areas of responsibility
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Strengthen cross-functional financial literacy across the organization
- Provide additional support to the EVP of Finance and other members of the executive team as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive finance & accounting experience, including leadership experience
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to translate complex data into summarized results for executive leadership review
- Experience with month-end accounting close process and strong accounting background
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, as well as an ability to grasp company financial policies and protocols
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different departments and levels of employees
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive leadership
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- Familiarity with accounting software and programs. Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise
- CPA or CMA designation
- Experience in a mid-size or high-growth organization
- Experience in implementing or optimizing FP&A tools and/or other software solutions
- Background in supporting multi-entity or multi-location operations
