Job Description:

The Financial Reporting Accountant is a key position within the Finance and Accounting Team and will report to Senior Finance and Accounting Management. The position will support the CFO, Controllers and division leaders to provide financial information and insights to maximize profitability through financial reporting and recommendations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an accurate monthly close process by reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on movements and significant transactions;
  • Ensure integrity of transactions and data and it’s reflection on the company's financials;
  • Support in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly accrual and cash statements;
  • Perform detail accounting analysis & process related Journal Entries related to General Ledger Accounts;
  • Ensure compliance with all deliverable due dates and timelines for recurring, Client and ad hoc reporting;
  • Complete monthly/weekly account allocations and reconciliations;
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned and modified at company’s discretion.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Driven to deliver, create and maintain accurate, thorough and complete accounting information, and improve accounting and reporting processes;
  • Experienced in a multi-company environment;
  • Communicate effectively with upper management, and across all teams within the organization;
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounting packages and data analysis and reporting tools - Excel (Advanced);
  • Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements, and their interrelation;
  • Ability to multi task critical functions and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines;
  • Ability to work at an appropriate level of detail;
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, and drive, change and deliver results;
  • Excellent Financial presentation and Oral & Written communication skills.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, business, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive Accounting and Financial Reporting experience required;
  • Advanced Excel skills is essential;
  • Strong ability to adapt to Accounting S/W packages.
