Summary Allworth Financial seeks motivated, high‑potential students for a 10‑week Summer Financial Services Internship Program. This paid internship serves as an early‑career on‑ramp into the Associate Advisor pathway and provides hands‑on exposure to fiduciary wealth management. Interns work alongside CFP® professionals, Associate Advisors, and cross‑functional planning teams to support real client work, contribute to advisory processes, and develop foundational skills for long‑term success. Interns are active contributors, not shadowing a client. Structured coaching and professional development are provided. High‑performing interns may be considered for future early‑career opportunities, subject to business need and performance. Program Structure The 10‑week internship is structured to provide both technical training and applied advisory experience. Candidates should be willing to work in either Folsom, CA or Kennesaw, GA. The position pays an hourly rate of $20 and reports to a Regional Director or designated CFP® Professional. Week 1 – Onboarding & Foundations (Addison, TX) Allworth culture and fiduciary philosophy Financial planning fundamentals Core systems and technology training Professional communication standards Travel and lodging are covered by Allworth Financial. Weeks 2–9 – Rotations & Applied Advisory Work Interns return to their office and spend most of their time embedded within advisory teams, contributing to day‑to‑day planning, service, and operational workflows. Structured development sessions and cohort meetings occur weekly. Week 10 – Capstone & Presentation (Addison, TX) Interns present a capstone project demonstrating skill development, business insight, and professional growth. The program concludes with performance feedback and career discussions. Travel and lodging are covered by Allworth Financial. Expected Schedule Interns are expected to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during the program. What You Will Gain Working knowledge of financial planning tools, including Salesforce, MoneyGuide, Holistiplan, and Understanding of Allworth’s client discovery, planning, and relationship development process Application of foundational financial planning concepts within supervised client case work Contribution to client service workflows with professionalism and accountability Clear communication of planning insights in both written and verbal formats Readiness for early‑career advisory roles through a formal capstone presentation Key Responsibilities Advisory & Wealth Planning Support (40–50%) Support internal financial planning workflows under supervision Assist in preparing financial plan components, analyses, and scenario modeling Run standard planning processes within MoneyGuide, Holistiplan, , and related systems Conduct research and assist with case preparation for client meetings Observe live client meetings when appropriate and participate in post‑meeting debrief discussionsAssist in preparing client meeting materials and follow‑up documentation Client Service & Operational Support (20–25%) Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Salesforce (CRM) Support account opening preparation and planning‑related service workflows Draft client communication templates and follow‑up summaries Contribute to data accuracy, organization, and workflow continuity Professional Development & Practice Exposure (10–15%) Participate in structured development sessions focused on financial planning fundamentals, communication skills, and advisor career readiness Gain exposure to Allworth’s advisory philosophy, growth model, and integrated services Engage in regular coaching conversations and performance feedback sessions Complete self‑reflection and skill development milestones Cohort Experience & Strategic Projects (10–15%) Participate in weekly intern cohort meetings Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives such as client experience improvements, research projects, or process optimization efforts Apply structured problem‑solving skills to real business challenges What Success Looks Like Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail Apply feedback constructively and show measurable skill development Communicate clearly and confidently in team environments Take initiative while maintaining sound judgment and respect for fiduciary standards Contribute meaningfully to team deliverables and internal projects Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 (entering final year of undergraduate study at the time of internship).
