Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Educate members on Minnco products and services and actively cross-sell and/or make referrals for adequate products and services Conduct loan interviews, prepare necessary documents for approval and process approved documents for disbursement/filing, ensuring completion Submits loan requests for decisions, and if applicable ensures all documents are properly signed Assist members with requests regarding opening/closing accounts, service requests and credit applications Establish a rapport with members by building connections through engagement while increasing credit union awareness, profitability, and member loyalty Business development included but not limited to proactive activities that increase credit union awareness, profitability and member loyalty Refer members to financial experts as needed (mortgage, etc.) Leadership and Professionalism Maintain and uphold Minnco’s Core Values in all work Ability to act with integrity and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity Required Qualifications Two years of experience in financial services and knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and solutions Minimum of six months previous experience within a Member Service Representative role Ability to prioritize, analyze, and make on-the-spot decisions regarding member’s accounts and member’s loans Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of the various federal regulations that impact credit unions and lending Broad experience of credit union products, services, policies and procedures Ability to solve problems in a sometimes-stressful environment while maintaining quality of service Desired Qualifications Previous experience within a credit union preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Previous cash handling experience Experience with upselling products Environment and Physical Demands: The majority of work will require sitting/standing while using the computer, and participating in meetings (in person, while on the phone, or online). Using finger dexterity for typing on the keyboard plus reading and viewing computer monitor. Work Location Employee will work in an office setting with low noise level, full-time Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm, with occasional weekends during business hours. This position will be housed out of our North Branch location.
