Tatum by Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Consultant to support our client, in a transformative financial data infrastructure initiative. This consultant will play a key role in building a Microsoft-based financial data warehouse from the ground up, leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in finance and accounting along with technical expertise in data management and reporting systems.Our Client is a leading controls technology company delivering integrated building automation and energy management solutions. Their FP&A team is undergoing a digital transformation to enhance financial visibility and reporting capabilities across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of a Microsoft-based financial data warehouse (Excel, SQL, Power BI)Design and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit-readinessReconcile financial data across various systems and ensure data integrityDevelop and maintain insightful dashboards and financial reports using Power BICollaborate with FP&A leadership to gather requirements and build technical reporting solutionsIdentify data inconsistencies and recommend improvements to processes and system architectureDocument technical processes and provide training to internal finance teamsRequired QualificationsStrong finance or accounting backgroundProven experience developing dashboards and using DAX in Microsoft Power BIProficient in SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and data integrationAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly in financial modeling and complex formula usageExperience building or implementing financial controls within data systemsComfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional teamExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsPrevious involvement in financial system, ERP, or data warehouse implementationsFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure data services (a plus)Knowledge of financial reporting standards and audit best practices
