WHO WE ARE:

Firematic is a family owned business who has been serving those who protect us all for over 50 years! We are looking for a dynamic team player to service SCBA equipment.

SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) Service Technicians are responsible for travelling to different locations to service SCBAs and related equipment of our customers. Customer service requests involve, but are not limited to, addressing connections, disconnects, rereading SCBAs, checking for leaks, etc.

Local candidates highly preferred. Candidates with firefighter experience preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Handles SCBA calibration and servicing of equipment for customers.
  • Responsible for taking and recording SCBA testing results.
  • Ensures proper inventory of SCBA-related equipment and parts; notifies parts of supplies needs as required.
  • Maintains records of work performed and materials used by keeping up-to-date records on products, parts, serial number, ID numbers, etc.
  • Submit paperwork for billing daily to the Service Administrator and Service Manager.
  • Works to solicit new customers.
  • Maintain customer centric focus in regard to quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and maintained.
  • Completes daily vehicle inspections and reports any vehicle issues to the Service Manager in a timely manner.
  • Practice safe driving & defensive driving habits.
  • Establish good working relationships with vendors, team members, and customers.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Complies with Firematic Supply policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties or projects assigned by the management team.

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Self-starter with positive can do attitude
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Firefighter experience preferred.
  • Must have 2-3 years of mechanical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record.
  • Ability to travel daily and work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations daily and work in varying environments.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage one’s own workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Maintain reasoning capabilities; cope with tight deadlines; changing priorities; handle stress and maintain mature problem-solving demeanor.
  • Must be willing to complete mandatory training and maintain required certifications.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:30-3:30.

Starting rate $20-26/hr depending on experience - we are willing to train the right candidate
