Are you a design-focused Fire Protection Engineer looking to join an established, growing engineering firm? Our client is adding several Fire Protection Engineers to its team!

The Senior Fire Protection Engineer will:

  • Lead the design work on multi-disciplinary projects (wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, and foam/water fire suppression systems)
  • Prepare comprehensive fire protection packages including fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke management, and life safety
  • Oversee the evaluations for new and/or existing life safety programs
  • Travel to the client sites as necessary.
  • Evaluate and lead the creation of fire protection calculations including the hydraulic analysis of fire water supply and demand, battery calculations, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Lead the construction administration including coordination with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, the review of contractor shop drawings and calculations, field inspections, and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities.

Base salary: $125,000 - $175,000

Plus Bonus and Employee Stock Program

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years related design experience
  • Advanced knowledge of design tools such as hydraulic calculation software, AutoCAD or Revit, Excel, and Word.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required within 6 months of employment.
