Fire Sprinkler Designer Role:
The Fire Sprinkler Designer will play a key role in supporting both new construction and existing system modifications. This Fire Sprinkler Designer position involves a balanced mix of system design, material listing, and coordination across projects primarily located in Tennessee.
Design fire sprinkler systems for new and existing projects, including field surveys when needed
Prepare stock lists and order fabrication and job materials
Utilize tools such as AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam for design and coordination
Apply knowledge of NFPA standards (including NFPA 13, 14, 20, and others as needed) and local codes
Support BIM coordination and participate in clash detection efforts when required
Collaborate with internal teams and provide field coordination support for design-related issues
Work closely with the Design Leader and cross-functional teams across multiple offices
Fire Sprinkler Designer Background Profile:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design
NICET Level II certification required (or very strong experience with willingness to obtain)
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM/3D modeling strongly preferred
Experience using AutoSPRINK and related industry software
Strong understanding of NFPA codes (NFPA 13, 14, 20, etc.) and local regulations
Ability to design systems, create material lists, and manage ordering processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is highly valued
