Who You Are

The successful candidate will perform all the required inspections on product to assure compliance to CAM's Quality System, Specifications and Customer requirements for Industrial and Military/Aerospace products. We are looking for a First Article Inspection Processor.

Position Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate PPAP's, statistical knowledge for process capability and Measurement Systems Analysis.
  • Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent
  • Develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
  • CMM experience required.
  • DQR qualifications preferred.
  • Prior Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 First Article creation and completion preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of measuring instruments and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, optical comparators, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in layout inspection techniques.
  • Possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Support root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Applicants must meet the following eye exam level, for at least one eye or when using both eyes together, natural or corrected. A Minimum of Curpax N5, Jaeger #2, or equivalent for near vision and Snellen 20/30 or equivalent for far vision. Have color vision with an average or normal (4 or 6 responses Titmus, B&L, or AOC testing machines, or satisfactory response when tested with Ishihara or pseudoisochromatic plates). Applicant must participate and pass this requirement annually.
  • Must be proficient in applying the principles of GD&T for blueprint / model interpretation and acceptance activities.
  • Ability to read engineering and manufacturing drawings
  • Responsible for conducting First Article, In-Process, Final inspections and accurate report generating utilizing AS9102 FAIR format.
  • Experience with Quality Management System principles ISO 9001: 2008, AS 9100D etc.
  • Generate and maintain Nonconformance reports and records.
  • Participate in Corrective Action processes, including containment plans, root cause analysis, corrective countermeasures, and providing objective evidence for verification / closure.
  • Accurately document the results of inspections and issue Certificates of Conformance.
  • Maintain and archive controlled document files and records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in internal and external audit activities as needed.
  • Provide feedback on the quality aspects of parts and assemblies to QA and Production.
  • Ability to interact with Production for communicating inspection results
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders, drawings, routings, shop instructions and other planning for quality requirements

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experiences

Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour.
