About the Role:
As an associate, you will be responsible for managing coverage and insurance defense matters, including litigation and arbitration. You will conduct legal research, draft memoranda and litigation documents, and deliver top-quality legal advice. You will prepare and oversee cases, develop legal strategies, and participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations as part of a high-caliber legal team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently are crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Manage coverage and insurance defense matters, litigation, and arbitration for insured clients.
- Conduct legal research, draft memoranda and litigation-related documents, and provide sound legal advice.
- Prepare and manage cases, develop legal strategies, and represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Efficiently handle multiple cases with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Required Skills:
- Admission to the Florida state bar is mandatory.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic achievements.
- At least 5 years of experience in litigation, arbitration, and/or insurance/reinsurance.
- Proficiency in discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and court proceedings.
- Outstanding legal research, writing, communication, analytical, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
