We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for performing basic maintenance and light mechanical repairs on our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tires, lights, brakes, diagnostics, and part replacement, ensuring our trucks and trailers stay road-ready. This is not a full shop mechanic role but focuses on keeping our fleet in top condition with routine maintenance and minor repairs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles, focusing on tires, lights, brakes, and minor part replacements. 
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, escalating major repairs to the appropriate team. 
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. 
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately. 
  • Work with the operations to minimize vehicle downtime. 
  • Assist in maintaining parts inventory and ensuring necessary supplies are on hand. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Previous experience in basic vehicle maintenance or fleet repair preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of brake systems, tires, lighting, and minor diagnostics. 
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve mechanical issues. 
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. 
  • CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus but not required.
