Job Summary

As an Expeditor, you will be responsible for coordinating and consolidating all outgoing food items from the kitchen, assuring high standards of plate presentation and food quality.

Job Specifications

Qualifications

  • A qualified Expeditor applicant must have good communication skills, able to lift 15-30 pounds, stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length.
  • The minimum age requirement for this position is 18.

Job Duties

Job Specific

  • Duties of this position will include setting up work station, putting orders together with a sense of urgency, making sure all plates are properly garnished, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Answer questions related to menu selections.
  • Food expeditors are the last line of defense to ensure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.

  • Food expeditors are leading, making sure food is prepared and delivered in a timely way;
  • Must garnish using different ingredients, sauces, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation is beautiful and exciting;

  • Monitor Orders: Frequent communication with Managers and Team Members. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Run food when needed.

  • Utilize Order guides for timely and accurate food purchasing.

  • Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for expediting;
  • Guide and motivate bussers and runners to work more efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly pass and adhere to health and safety standards;

  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

  • Consistently maintain a positive attitude.

  • Encourage a positive attitude among Team Members.
  • Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Team Member handbook.

  • Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the company’s personal appearance standards.

Within the first 30 days must be able to perform to standard all activities on the New Hire Training Checklist.
