Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Food Safety & Quality Manager located in Alma, KS. The Food Safety & Quality Manager will oversee and implement food safety and quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities include documenting and maintaining quality control systems, conducting inspections and audits, managing HACCP plans, handling customer and supplier quality-related concerns, and training staff on food safety protocols. Additionally, the role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and food safety processes.
Qualifications
- Experience with food safety programs, HACCP principles, and quality control systems
- Experience in SQF, BRC, and/or FSSC 22000 certified food plant
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance pertaining to food manufacturing and safety standards
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead training sessions and communicate effectively with diverse teams
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and process optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable
- Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and safety at all times
