Forensic Psychologists are encouraged to consider a career opportunity with Liberty Healthcare.

Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized forensic mental health program within the West Valley Detention Center a county jail operated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff.

This program provides high quality assessment and treatment services to adults who are justice involved, experiencing mental illness, and deemed incompetent to stand trial.

As a Forensic Psychologist with Libertys jail based competency treatment program, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting mental status examinations and formulating diagnoses

Evaluating patients for competency to stand trial

Writing comprehensive reports

Occasionally providing court testimony

Collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, mental health clinicians and ancillary professionals

Actively participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning

Performing risk assessments and crisis management assistance

This is a hybrid position which will allow you to work mostly remotely from your home office and occasionally onsite at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. You have the option to work a traditional five day workweek or compressed four day workweek.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

Starting pay between $110,000 and $135,000 (depending on qualifications)

Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance

30 days of paid time off each year for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal days

Health Savings Account, 401k plan, and other perks

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Psychologist and have training and/or experience evaluating and treating forensic patients.
