Description:
- Play a central role in the development and delivery of an integrated transformation strategy to support Digital Forensics
- Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives including timelines and budgeting. Projects may be of moderate to advanced complexity.
- Perform functional performance of new systems and procedures. Develop and implement operational tests and assessments and maintain functional and operating documentation.
- Experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Azure, AWS).
- Provides technical support to ensure the ongoing efficient and reliable operations information systems supporting investigations.
- Proactively develops and maintains strong knowledge of information systems and their related components, and makes recommendations to improve the reliability, scalability, performance, or security of these systems as appropriate. Leverages technology to automate manual tasks and seeks to improve efficiency wherever practicable and appropriate. Makes recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Expert in Digital Forensics, forensic tools, and systems.
- Expert in networking including Cisco and Fortinet products.
- Expert in Virtualization, both on-premises (e.g. VMWare, Nutanix) and off premise solutions (e.g. Azure, AWS) including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions (e.g. Citrix, Horizon).
- Attended formalized Digital Forensic training, and maintains current digital forensic certifications (e.g. IACIS CFCE, BCERT/ACERT, SANS). Previous Law Enforcement experience as a Digital Forensic Examiner may be a substitution of certifications.
