Ironwear, a leader in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) manufacturing, is looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficiency and safety of our operations, assisting in the movement and handling of goods while adhering to safety procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment for defects before use.
  • Safely stack and unstack goods in accordance with ISO quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of material movements and reports.
  • Assist in inventory control and managing stock levels.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and management regarding material needs and inventory status.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with warehouse management software is a plus.
  • Proficient in using hand-held scanners and barcode systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
