  • Operate forklifts or other equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse or production facility. 
  • Safely pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality. Handle materials in a manner that prevents damage. 
  • Assist in managing inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in proper locations within the warehouse. Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits as needed. 
  • Perform routine maintenance on forklift and other equipment as necessary 
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the safe operation of forklifts, and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately. 
  • Complete all required documentation, such as shipping and receiving logs, accurately and promptly. 
  • Work closely with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
  • Participate in training programs and stay up-to-date with safety regulations and industry best practices 

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) 
  • Prior experience operating a forklift in a construction or warehouse environment(preferred) 

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions  
  • Ability to read color labels and identify products  
  • Ability to read tape measure  
  • Ability to use saw, nail guns, and other hand tools  
  • Basic math skills  
  • Forklift training  
  • Ability to count  
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to forklift operation 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with others 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions 
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.
