Job Summary:
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production and distribution operations. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of sit-down forklifts, you will be tasked with loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout our facility, ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
*Operate sit-down forklifts to move, stack, and load/unload a variety of materials and products.
*Perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on assigned forklift equipment.
*Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
*Maintain accurate records and documentation related to forklift operations.
*Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and material handling processes.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in an industrial or warehouse setting
* Forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
This position involves physical labor and the operation of heavy machinery. Forklift operators may be exposed to various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, dust, and noise. Strict safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment are required to mitigate potential hazards.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a temporary-to-hire position with a target pay rate of $19-$2 per hour/D.O.E. In addition to competitive wages, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
