Forklift Operator
Location: Van Buren, MI Shift: 1st (7:30a-4pm M-F) Pay: $17/hr
Job SummaryAre you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team in Van Buren, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us move materials efficiently and maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse that supports major automotive suppliers.
What You'll Be DoingAs a Forklift Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently: Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse to support smooth operations.
- Handling shipments and inventory: Receive and unload trucks, stack pallets and containers, and assist with order fulfillment and staging.
- Maintaining accurate records: Track inventory, label products, and ensure organized storage throughout the facility.
In addition, you will also be expected to work independently, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and support a high-volume production environment that can be physically demanding.
What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Hi-Lo (forklift) experience in a warehouse or high-volume production environment
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varying temperatures
- Strong attention to safety and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Skills:
- Safety awareness: Ensures the well-being of yourself and others while operating forklifts and handling materials.
- Attention to detail: Maintains accurate inventory, labeling, and order fulfillment.
- Organizational skills: Keeps the workspace clean, efficient, and structured to support high-volume operations.
