Summary:
The Forming Machine Operator/Set-Up Technician at Multifab. Inc. is responsible for the set-up and operations of shuttle vacuum and pressure forming machines, rotary vacuum and pressure forming machines, band saws for rough trimming, table routers and slit saws for trimming while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
Job Shift:
- Mon- Fri - Full time employment
- Day shift: 6AM-2:30 PM
- Swing shift : 2:30PM- 11PM
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older (required)
- Must pass a full panel negative pre-employment drug test (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
Salary Range:
The Starting Target Pay Range for this position is $16.28-$17.00. At Multifab Inc, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review Work Area Instructions, Pick Sheets, Bill of Materials, Work Instructions, Inspection Plans, Customer Drawings and Specifications, FPSS data, etc. to determine materials, process parameters and procedures for forming machines.
- Press control buttons to activate auto cycles.
- Record and maintain production and process data per Work Area Instructions.
- Inspect and measure parts per Work Instructions, Control Samples, Inspection Plans, and Customer Drawings to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and process deviations.
- Adjust machine settings and controls; timers, pressure values, temperatures, etc. to regulate the forming process.
- Notify supervisors when formed parts fail to meet standards.
- Demonstrate understanding of normal vacuum and pressure forming techniques and processes.
- Obtain Forklift Certification according to Company requirements.
- Follow all Company Policies, Procedures and Protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
