Position Overview The FP&A Analyst delivers strategic financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting key decision-making processes. This role also supports month‑end closings, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The analyst collaborates within the accounting and finance team, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and works effectively in a team environment. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning for the residential construction businesses. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations, project management, and sales, to gather relevant data and insights. Participate in strategic planning initiatives, including new project evaluations, investment appraisals, and profitability analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, helping them understand financial impacts to make informed decisions. Assist with the preparation of the monthly operating report and review with division accounting and finance leadership. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience with D365, OneStream, Power BI and AI tools such as Claude a plus. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, conveying complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and matrix environment and manage multiple priorities. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred. Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the construction or real‑estate industry. Physical Requirements Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing schedules and operational demands. May work modified schedules or occasional weekends. Performs prolonged computer work and occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May need to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 15 pounds. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Travel may be required.
