Job Description

We are seeking an experienced FreeRTOS Developer to join our team in Seattle, WA. This is an onsite role, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software solutions using FreeRTOS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems and a passion for developing robust and efficient software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Development:
    • Develop, test, and deploy embedded software solutions using FreeRTOS.
    • Work on various aspects of embedded systems including kernel, device drivers, middleware, and application layers.
    • Optimize and fine-tune FreeRTOS-based applications for performance and efficiency.
  • Integration:
    • Integrate FreeRTOS with various hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
    • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging:
    • Diagnose and resolve complex software and system issues related to embedded software.
    • Utilize debugging tools and techniques to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the development process, including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals.
    • Provide clear and concise documentation for future maintenance and updates.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, QA, and project managers to deliver high-quality embedded software solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 5 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
    • Extensive experience with FreeRTOS, including kernel development, task scheduling, memory management, and inter-task communication.
    • Strong experience in C/C++ programming in embedded environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in working with microcontrollers and processors.
    • Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) principles.
    • Experience with embedded software development tools, including debuggers, emulators, and version control systems.
    • Familiarity with hardware-software interfacing and embedded system architecture.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex embedded software issues.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and convey technical information effectively.
