Position Overview:
As a Freelance Multimedia Journalist, you will play a crucial role in researching, writing, and producing compelling news articles about politics, business, finance and entertainment, focused on mostly about U.S Audience. The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual with a passion for storytelling, a keen interest in current affairs, and a strong desire to make an impact in the world of journalism. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of topics and contribute to the growth of our media platform.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough research on assigned topics and stay updated on current events.
2. Pitch, develop, and write high-quality news articles, features, and interviews.
3. Collaborate with editors to ensure content meets editorial standards and aligns with the organization's voice and style.
4. Attend events, conduct interviews, and engage with relevant sources to gather information for stories.
5. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging issues, and potential story ideas.
6. Meet tight deadlines while maintaining the quality and accuracy of content.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a journalist, with a strong portfolio of published articles.
3. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Excellent research and interview skills.
6. Knowledge of AP style and a commitment to journalistic ethics.
7. Familiarity with digital media tools and platforms.
